Waste Management

We are dedicated to implementing sustainable practices that promote a clean and environmentally-conscious campus. Our college recognizes the importance of responsible waste management and we have adopted various measures to ensure the proper disposal of different types of waste.

Key Initiatives:

  1. Solid Waste Management: Our college is committed to segregating solid waste into degradable and non-degradable categories. This segregation is a crucial step towards minimizing the environmental impact of waste disposal.
  2. E-Waste Collaboration with APTS: We have partnered with the Andhra Pradesh Technology Services (APTS) to address the issue of electronic waste (e-waste). This collaboration ensures the proper collection, disposal, and recycling of electronic devices to prevent environmental harm.

  3. Segregation Bins: Different bins are strategically placed across the campus to facilitate waste segregation by students and staff. This simplifies the process of sorting waste into appropriate categories for efficient disposal.

  4. Collection and Disposal: Our college has established a streamlined waste collection system. Our dedicated team ensures that waste from various bins is collected regularly and sent for appropriate disposal or recycling, as per the waste type.

  5. Vermi Composting: As part of our commitment to sustainability, we have implemented a vermi composting system. Organic waste is processed through this method, converting it into nutrient-rich compost that enriches the soil and supports our green spaces.
